Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This opportunity is for an experienced Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to support elementary students in a dedicated educational setting in De Pere, WI.The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments, ensuring they have equitable access to the curriculum throughout their school day.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct instructional support to elementary students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.Utilize American Sign Language and other communication methods to facilitate learning.Collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt curriculum and materials to meet student needs.Assist students in developing literacy and numeracy skills appropriate to their readiness levels.Manage a caseload of students, delivering individualized support and progress monitoring.Qualifications and Experience:At least two years of post-secondary education equivalent to 48 semester hours, or an associate degree or higher, OR demonstrated proficiency through a formal state or local academic assessment.Valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Educational Interpreter License.Experience in educational settings supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.Proficiency in American Sign Language and knowledge of Deaf education practices.Location and Schedule:Onsite position located in De Pere, Wisconsin.Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.Contract position through May 29, 2026.This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of young learners with hearing impairments in a supportive school environment.Qualified candidates who meet the licensing and educational requirements are encouraged to apply promptly to be considered for this specialized position.#cjp.
