Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Engage in impactful educational support as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing focused on American Sign Language within an elementary school setting in Oneida, WI.This contract position offers a valuable opportunity to work onsite, directly contributing to the learning and development of students with diverse communication needs.Key Responsibilities:Provide tailored instruction and support to elementary students who are deaf or hard of hearing.Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to integrate American Sign Language and DHH educational strategies throughout the school day.Deliver specialized communication assistance, fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment.Monitor student progress and adapt approaches to meet individual educational goals.Qualifications and Desired Experience:Completion of at least two years of post-secondary education equivalent to 48 semester hours, or an associate degree or higher.Demonstrated competency in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction, verified through formal academic assessments or equivalent standards.Possession of a valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Educational Interpreter License.Experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in DHH or ASL instruction, is preferred.Location:Onsite position based in Oneida, WI, supporting elementary students throughout the school day.Benefits and Perks:Meaningful engagement in specialized education services that make a difference.Collaborative work environment with other professionals dedicated to student success.Stable contract role with defined working hours (37.5 hours per week).This role is ideal for educators passionate about supporting deaf and hard of hearing students and proficient in American Sign Language.Apply now to help create an inclusive educational experience that enables every student to thrive.#cjp.
