Job Description
Qualifications:Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and the ability to speak before groups with sensitivity and compassion.Volunteer experience desired, particularly in recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.Ability to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interprets instructions.Requires minimal lifting of 10 lbs occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Data entry, medical data entry highly preferred.Prolonged periods of sitting with periodic kneeling, standing, stooping and walking, as well as communication by phone and in person.Travel will be required, by car.Both inside and outside environmental conditions.Work Monday through Friday may include on-call work weekends, evenings, and nights.Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing Ability to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading data and figures, visual inspection of patients.Valid driver's license, personal vehicle for on-the-job transportation, and evidence of insurance coverage as required by company policy.Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.JOB CONDITIONS AND WORK DEMANDS:Requires minimal lifting of 10 lbs occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Prolonged periods of sitting with periodic kneeling, standing, stooping and walking, as well as communication by phone and in person.Travel will be required, by car.Both inside and outside environmental conditions.Work Monday through Friday may include on-call work weekends, evenings, and nights.Requires specific vision concentration for charting/documentation and computer work.ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS AND RISK:Occasionally- Exposure to blood, body tissues, and other potentially infectious fluids Rarely - Exposure to other hazardous waste materials Frequently - Exposure to unpleasant odors as related to care of incontinent residents or wounds Frequently - Exposure to latex, plastic and/or materials which are used for personal protective equipment Occasionally - Exposure to marked changes in temperature and/or humidity Occasionally - Exposure to microbial bacteria and other infectious agents inherent to care of ill patient Frequently - Exposure to fumes, odors, dust, poor ventilation, or smoking Responsibilities:(Included but not limited to):Medical records workflow processing and works to obtain provider signatures timely.Maintenance of answering service message binder (retrieval of messages).Order console oversight, including checking in orders received via fax or email.Uploading documents as attachments into patient's EMR.Oversight of incoming/outgoing mail.Performing Billing Audit Report and subsequent tasks to resolve bill holds and warnings.Oversight of facility binder needs to include printing of records and binder creation.Print and fax medication profile to facility pharmacy next business day after admission.Assures that all signature forms meet requirements for accuracy and timeliness and billing requirements.Assists ED with Medicaid Billing Processes.Champion of onboarding of all newly hired staff.Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office.Answer phone calls, schedules meetings, and supports office visitors.Carries out administrative duties such as filing, data entry, copying, binding, scanning etc.Completes operational requirements by completing administrative projects and expediting work results.Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluation of new equipment and technology assigned.Provides information by answering questions and requests.Maintains supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies as assigned.Always maintains office appearance and readiness, including office guests and staff accommodations such as beverages, snacks, toiletries, etc.Adheres to all Agency, state and federal policies and procedures, laws, and regulations which are relevant to job responsibilities.Demonstrates continued professional growth and development through participation in education.Perform other duties as assigned.Benefits:401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance Experience:Hospice Team Coordinator:1 year (Required) Ability to Commute:Charleston, SC 29401 (Required) Work Location:In person.
