Job Summary: AES Clean Energy is currently seeking a Team Leader for the Remote Operating Control Center (ROCC) to provide primary leadership support to the 24/7 Remote Operations Control Center Team (ROCC) in Salt Lake City, UT in monitoring a large renewable power portfolio in RTOs mainly in the Western Interconnect, particularly, CAISO. The current AES Clean Energy portfolio is large and diverse, comprised of 6,000 MW of Wind, Solar, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and Solar + Battery systems. Reporting to the ROCC Manager, the goal of this position is to ensure safe operations, superior customer service, regulatory compliance, environmental compliance, high productivity & reliability, and industry leading efficiency. The successful candidate will have a depth of experience in renewable assets, remote operation centers or control room operations, a track record of supervisory skills, and demonstrated ability to develop high performing teams. This position will be based out of AES’ Salt Lake City’s Control Center. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Basic Job Functions : Oversee an industry leading AES CE Operations team, driving toward excellence and innovation Lead a team of 10-12 people with expected growth to 15+ over the next 1-2 years, including Control Room Operators, Lead Operators, Trainers, Outage Coordinators, and Team Leads. Cultivate a strict culture of compliance while overseeing the implementation of applicable NERC reliability standards with Compliance support. Act as the main driving force for continuous improvement initiatives ensuring their success and on-time delivery/execution.
