Job Title:Tech Assistant II (Scheduling Focus) We are seeking an experienced Tech Assistant II for a contract opportunity in Salinas, California.This role is ideal for candidates with strong scheduling experience in a diagnostic imaging environment and excellent communication skills. Job Details: Location:Salinas, CA Schedule:5x8-hour shifts Contract Duration:April 27, 2026 - July 26, 2026 Key Responsibilities: Schedule imaging exams across multiple modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, PET/CT, Angio, X-ray, and Mammography Coordinate with physicians' offices to obtain authorizations, CPT/ICD codes, and required documentation Pre-register patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and ensure accurate data entry Prepare charts, consents, and documentation for procedures Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to coordinate patient care and interventional cases Use PACS system to manage and distribute imaging studies Assist with patient transport, lifting, and general flow within the department Maintain professional and courteous communication, including handling incoming calls Requirements: 2-4 years of recent scheduling experience in diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, US, Angio, X-ray, etc.) Recent Epic experience (within the last 6-12 months) BLS certification (AHA) High school diploma or GED Strong knowledge of medical terminology preferred Job Types:Contract, Temporary Pay:$35.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: Referral program Experience: scheduling experience in diagnostic imaging:1 year (Required) Epic:1 year (Required) License/Certification: BLS Certification (Required) Ability to Commute: Salinas, CA 93901 (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
