On-Board Services is hiring a Technical Communications Specialist in Rochester, NY (Hybrid) For immediate consideration please send your resume to resumes@onboardusa.com Subject Line:Position Title and State you are located About Us:On-Board Services, Incorporated is an on-site contract service provider for a local manufacturing entity providing full time positions to our employees.We offer benefits as well as 401k.Position Details:Title:Technical Communications Specialist Position Type:1 year contract assignment with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need Job Location:Hybrid- 2 days in office, 3 days remote Shift:1st Shift Benefits:401K, Dental insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance, PTO Compensation:$34/HR Position Overview The Technical Communications Specialist II is responsible for developing technical publications and communications that support the safe and effective use and servicing of products.This role involves creating a variety of materials, including technical manuals, online content, product labeling, instructions for use, and presentations across multiple formats.Key Responsibilities Produce and manage technical publications and communications Gather and organize technical information from multiple sources Write, edit, proofread, and manage the review/approval process for complex materials Ensure all content meets regulatory requirements and adheres to established style and formatting standards Analyze publication effectiveness, including verification and validation activities Follow established change control procedures Review published materials and recommend updates to content, format, or scope Manage timelines and communicate any risks or delays Investigate and resolve or escalate customer inquiries and complaints Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Required:Associate's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Medical Technology, Biology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills Experience with HTML, XML, DITA, FrameMaker, and topic-based authoring Preferred:Bachelor's degree Experience in a regulated environment Familiarity with content management systems, CSS, and system design Knowledge of animation tools and JavaScript Experience working with translated publications Experience with website design/authoring tools www.onboardusa.com Apply Today!
