Job Description
Title – Technical Lead / Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Location – South San Francisco, CA – 3 Days Onsite Mandatory Skills: Node.js, React.js, Requirements Gathering Position Summary We are seeking a versatile hybrid Technical Lead / Business Systems Analyst to bridge the gap between complex business requirements and high-performance technical execution. This role is a 60/40 split between hands-on engineering leadership and business systems analysis. You will architect scalable web platforms using React, Node.js, and AWS , while simultaneously partnering with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications and roadmaps. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Development (60%) Architectural Guidance: Drive technical design and implementation for full-stack applications using React, Node.js, and AWS. Hands-on Engineering: Lead the development of front-end applications (TypeScript/React) and backend microservices (Node.js/Express/Serverless). Infrastructure & DevOps: Manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and leverage AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, and API Gateway. Data Integrity: Design robust relational database solutions using PostgreSQL/MySQL and optimize complex PL/SQL queries. Quality & Mentorship: Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor a team of engineers through technical coaching and 1:1s. Business Systems Analysis (40%) Requirements Translation: Partner with Product Management and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements into actionable technical solutions. Roadmap Definition: Assist in defining the technical roadmap and ensuring architectural decisions align with long-term business goals. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison for non-technical departments, communicating complex system constraints and opportunities. Process Improvement: Champion Agile/Scrum practices to improve team delivery cycles and alignment with business value. Data Analysis: Collaborate with data teams to integrate analytics and reporting platforms into the core software suite. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 10+ years in software development, with at least 3–4 years in a leadership or hybrid BSA capacity. Core Tech Stack: Expert-level React, Node.js, TypeScript, and RESTful API design. Cloud & Infrastructure: Strong proficiency in AWS Cloud, serverless architectures, and CI/CD automation. Database: Deep expertise in PL/SQL and performance tuning for relational databases. Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and the ability to translate "business speak" into "tech speak" and vice versa. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
