6 month contract, 20 hours per week, onsite in DTC We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with strong experience in accounting and financial reporting systems to help drive the delivery of high-impact data and reporting solutions. This role sits at the intersection of finance, engineering, and product, requiring both technical fluency and the ability to translate business needs into actionable development work. Key Responsibilities Partner closely with Accounting and Finance teams to understand reporting requirements, workflows, and pain points Translate business needs into clear, well-defined technical requirements and user stories Create, prioritize, and manage tickets for the engineering team, ensuring clarity and completeness Drive project execution by coordinating across stakeholders and proactively removing blockers Maintain and groom the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders Track progress, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery of reporting and data initiatives Continuously improve processes for requirement gathering, ticket quality, and delivery efficiency Must-Have Qualifications Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Project Manager supporting engineering teams Strong ability to collaborate with Accounting/Finance teams and clearly understand reporting needs Hands-on experience creating and managing tickets (e.g., Jira or similar tools) Demonstrated success driving projects forward in a cross-functional environment Prior experience working as a PM for an accounting or financial reporting development team Strong understanding of data, reporting systems, and financial workflows Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with financial systems, data warehouses, or BI/reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI) Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Technical background or experience working closely with engineers on data-intensive systems
