Job Description
Technician I, Service (Medical Device Support) Location: Sylmar, CA Pay: $21.50 per hour Job Type: Full-time / Contingent Are you looking to grow your experience in the medical device industry with a hands-on technical support role? We are seeking a Technician I, Service to join our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) team in Sylmar, CA. In this role, you will support the service and processing of Merlin@Home Transmitters and assist with essential production and decontamination activities in a fast-paced medical device environment. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing or medical device experience—or individuals eager to learn and build technical skills through on-the-job training. We’re looking for dependable team players with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities): As a Technician I, Service, your daily responsibilities will include: Technical Service Support: Assist with service and repair activities for Merlin@Home Transmitters. Device Decontamination: Clean and process external medical devices using approved alcohol wipe procedures and safety standards. Assembly Line Operations: Support production activities including HLA processing and return kit assembly. Quality & Compliance: Follow established manufacturing, safety, and quality procedures to ensure product integrity. Computer/Data Entry Tasks: Utilize basic computer systems for tracking, documentation, and workflow support. Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and service teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment. What You’ll Need (Requirements): Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency required. Experience: Medical device or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required—training will be provided. Work Style: Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strong attention to detail. Reliability: Strong attendance, dependability, and willingness to learn.
