The Boyd Group, operating collision repair centers across North America under the Gerber Collision & Glass brand, is seeking a skilled Collision Body Technician to join our Automotive team. In this role, you will use your expertise in collision repair, structural and non-structural bodywork, and refinishing preparation to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition while delivering the high-quality workmanship our customers expect. Working in a modern, well-equipped facility, you will perform accurate disassembly, damage analysis, and repair of vehicles, including frame and unibody straightening, dent removal, panel replacement and alignment, welding, and plastic and fiberglass repairs. You will support and coordinate with painters through proper surface preparation, priming, and refinishing setup to ensure a precise color match and a flawless finish consistent with Gerber Collision & Glass standards. As part of an organization known for operational excellence, you will follow detailed repair orders, OEM procedures, and company guidelines to plan efficient, safe, and correct repairs. You will use industry-standard tools and equipment such as frame machines, computerized measuring systems, welders, sanders, and body tools, maintaining your workspace and equipment in clean, safe working condition. Collaboration is central to the Boyd Group culture, and you will work closely with estimators, production managers, painters, and fellow technicians to meet cycle-time and quality goals, communicate supplemental damage, and help deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will participate in continuous improvement efforts, contribute to a team environment built on integrity and accountability, and support less experienced team members when needed.
