Technician

Job Title: Quality Technician Location: Rockwood, TN Status: Non-exempt, Hourly Reports to: Quality Manager Hours: Monday- Friday,7:30am - 4:00pm Job Summary: The Manufacturing Quality Technician is responsible for monitoring and verifying the quality of parts and processes in a manufacturing environment. This role involves inspecting parts, troubleshooting quality issues, supporting root cause analysis, and ensuring that all production outputs meet established specifications and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform in-process, first-piece, and final product inspections in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. Use measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, optical comparators) to validate part dimensions and tolerances. Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and control plans. Document non-conformances and assist in corrective/preventive action processes. Maintain detailed inspection and test records in both digital and physical formats. Support internal audits and participate in external audits as needed. Assist in calibrating inspection and test equipment. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to address quality issues and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Perform basic testing and sampling procedures (mechanical, visual, or functional) as required by product type. Follow ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other relevant quality system standards.
