Shipping and Receiving Clerk - Job Description Job Summary The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the flow of goods into and out of a facility.This role includes receiving shipments, inspecting products, preparing orders for shipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.Pay $19-$21 D.O.E.Key Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or invoices Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues Record and update inventory in warehouse management systems Prepare, package, and label items for shipment Coordinate with carriers and schedule outgoing deliveries Load and unload trucks using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations Maintain shipping and receiving documentation and records Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures Assist with regular inventory counts and audits Required Skills and Qualifications Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred Ability to lift heavy items (often up to 50 lbs) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Ability to operate warehouse equipment forklift.Work Environment Warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility May involve standing for long periods and lifting materials May require working in varying temperatures depending on facility Shift Days Monday to Friday 6am - 2:30pm w / some OT @6055 @IN6055 @ZR6055 @TAL6055.
