Overview I am seeking a strong and dependable hard worker to help me set up and maintain my garden for a few weeks.I do not require any certifications or previous work experience, but strong gardening skills are highly desired.Your efforts will be rewarded with fair cash payment every week from a fair boss, and once the job is over, you may even use me as a reference.Duties Help with planting, weeding, watering, harvesting, and composting my plants Do manual labor like digging holes, setting up fences, uprooting plants, and carrying heavy supplies Safely operate job-provided hand tools and power tools for required tasks Help with planning the layout of my garden to make working easier Conduct lawn care and landscape maintenance to keep the garden neat and inviting Assist me with store runs to Lowe's and other garden centers for supplies I may need Support overall garden cleanliness by removing debris, weeds, and dead plant material Skills & Requirements Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lb.for 1-2 hours at a time Familiarity with lawn care equipment and techniques is strongly desired Must be able to operate hand tools (shovels, hammers, etc.) and power tools (lawn mowers, drills, tree cutters, etc.) safely and effectively Must be able to work well with others and by yourself Must have reliable transportation Skills in emergency medical care (CPR, first aid, etc.) is a plus Must be able to work 2-4 days a week for 1-4 hours Must not have any health conditions that limit mobility or the ability to work Must be of legal age to work Must be a U.S.citizen or have a work permit Must have a valid drivers license and insurance Qualities & Work Ethic The ideal candidate must Be kind, even-tempered, and respectful of the elderly Be hardworking with a proactive approach to outdoor work Have clean language and good manners (no fowl or cheeky mouths) Be clean from any substances (no drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc.) Be mindful to avoid disturbing neighbors (music is allowed while working but only with headphones or earbuds) Dress appropriately (wear something modest and practical that you wouldn't mind getting dirty (a hoodie and jeans, overalls, close-toed shoes, an apron, etc.)) Be willing to take orders and follow them Have excellent attention to details and problem-solving skills Be punctual and able to adapt depending on the weather or the gardener's health Benefits If the job is done well The assistant will receive a fair weekly compensation in cash Bonus pay may be given for good work Once the job is over, I'll be happy to be a glowing reference for you The position is temporary and may last from 1-3 months depending on how quickly progress is made, ideal for someone trying to add more to their resume or struggling to get into the job market.After passing the interview, the candidate's first day will be a paid trial run to see if you work well with the gardener.If you pass, we can negotiate on a work schedule that works for you!
