Riverside Brewing Company is a unique BREWERY in a BARN in Cambridge Springs, PA.We're seeking an experienced Head Brewer for a 5-6 month contract with full operational control, competitive pay, and potential for long-term placement.The Head Brewer plays an integral role in the day-day operations of our 10bbl production brewery with onsite full-service restaurant.We are seeking a passionate and skilled Temporary Head Brewer to join our dynamic team.This position will run immediately until October 2026.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the brewing process and a commitment to producing high-quality craft beer and be able to work with minimal oversight brewing 7 core brands, summer and fall seasonal brands as well as the flexibility to create recipes and let them shine.Head brewer is in charge of production, maintaining 4 fermentors, 2 oak foeder tanks, 5 brite tanks, and select canning utilizing our 3-head CODI counter pressure canning line.The brewer also leads our small self distribution program to the Erie and Pittsburgh markets.Perks of Temp Contract Flexible schedule enabling room for a second job if desired Gain valuable experience in a unique craft brewery Potential for permanent employment Completion bonus Responsibilities Operate brewing equipment to produce craft beer according to established recipes and standards.Be a creative part of the beer division including recipes, beer names, label design ideas, brand promotion and more.Sanitize all brewing equipment and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.Monitor fermentation processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal quality.Package finished products for distribution, ensuring proper labeling and storage practices are followed.Collaborate with team members in the warehouse for inventory management and product distribution.Adhere to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) throughout all stages of production.Conduct regular maintenance on brewing equipment to ensure efficient operation.Participate in quality control testing and record keeping to maintain product standards.Keep excellent inventory and production records and report all necessary documents and payments to governing authorities such as TTB and PLCB.Requirements Minimum 1 year experience in professional brewing field is required (not counting home brewing, with firm knowledge of craft beer production processes.Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain brewing equipment effectively.Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices within the food and beverage industry.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.Physical stamina for standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials 100 lbs minimum, and performing manual tasks as required.Join our team and be part of creating exceptional craft beers that bring joy to our customers!
