, Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented ON-CALL, Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs for May 12th and 13th. This role is vital in ensuring a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued. The contracted job only is ON CALL and is under a 1099 tax form. We require that you are a US Citizen and have a REAL ID STAR on your ID so that you can request access to drive through the gates. Duties Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas such as fields, arena, restrooms, and hallways. Maintain equipment. Communicate to staff about restocking supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure availability at all times. Reporting repairs. Follow safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to all health and safety regulations to promote a clean and hazard-free environment. Adhere to a background check every time you pass through the academy gates. Skills Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures. Ability to use cleaning safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning tasks efficiently. Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks during shift hours. Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues promptly. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment that supports the overall operations of our facility.
