This is a part-time/temporary non-benefited position. This position is located at the Northern Great Plains Research Laboratory in Mandan, ND Description & Details: This position is for a temporary livestock assistant and is an in-person job located at Northern Great Plains Research Laboratory in Mandan, ND. This is a temporary/part-time position, 19-40 hours per week depending on the work available. Responsibilities include: Help with calving May-July Check, build and fix fence Help set up trials (electric fence paddocks) Help check animals and waters daily Help treat injured/sick animals Moving cattle Possibly help with haying Help with feeding Maintain equipment including cleaning, lubrication and synchronizing to work properly and receive scheduled maintenance. Examples include but not limited to skid steer, tractor, lawn mowers, ATV 's. Work Schedule: This is a part-time/temporary position, 19-40 hours per week depending on the work available, including some weekends. Flexibility for schedule as needed when working weekends. Will require outside work during weekends. Advertised Pay: Commensurate with experience and education. Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
