This is a temporary non-benefited position working 40 hours per week. The start date will be Tuesday, May 26, 2026 and will continue through August 2026, with the possibility of working until October 30, 2026. Preference may be given to an individual able to work through October. Groundskeeping: mowing using a zero turn lawn mower, weedwacking, tilling flowerbeds, planting and transplanting flowers, weeding/hoeing flowerbeds, removing dead flowers in Sept/Oct, trimming trees, cleaning the grounds, etc. Janitorial duties throughout the LREC buildings and cleaning state fleet vehicles. Painting and general upkeep tasks inside and outside of LREC buildings, residence, grain bins, and grounds. Assisting LREC employees as needed and also assisting with Field Day preparations. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to follow directions and have good communications skills. Willingness to learn, highly motivated, and ability to multi-task. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team. Individual must be willing to do physical labor outside under diverse weather conditions. Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm working 40 hours/week at the Langdon Research Extension Center in Langdon, ND. Advertised Pay: $16+/hour. Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
