Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Postal Clerk on the Dahlonega campus. Temporary Postal Clerks help with a variety of tasks. They help at the customer service desk and follow protocol to determine correct postage amounts, including helping to determine the optimal price and class of mail for the customer's needs, and using the postage meter to process outgoing mail. Temporary Postal Clerks aid in the sorting and organization of mail and help with the projects that are done each semester to keep processes up to date and our data accurate. Process mail using meter machine. Assist with projects. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Self starter with good time utilization. Can work with little supervision. Basic math and computer skills. Must be able to get to work on-time. Must be detail oriented. Good inter-personal communication skills/customer service abilities. Good problem solving and critical thinking skills. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED required. Preferred Qualifications Previous cashiering experience preferred, but not required. Previous customer service experience preferred, but not required.
