The position will own test systems, processes, and data integrity related to product testing. The Test Engineer will work closely with NPD Engineers to develop test plans, evaluate / approve projected test time, evaluate test risk, and develop non-standard testing. The Test Engineer will work with the Lab Managers globally to continuously improve and meet the demands of NPD, and the Engineering Teams. Work Mode: Onsite Location: N7650 County Rd LS, Sheboygan, WI, 53083 Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future. Specific Responsibilities Analyze current technologies used to support product validation and develop necessary steps or processes to improve testing. Test Process Owner: Identifies and evaluates processes, work instructions, test standards and test systems to improve efficiency. Assist with the development and review of work instructions to enable engineering technicians to perform consistent, accurate tests. The first point of contact for test systems and equipment problems to minimize downtime and meet test timelines globally. Ability to troubleshoot and determine root cause of system and data collection issues. Improve automated test and data acquisition systems to meet specified product test requirements and improve resource utilization. Data analysis, test report review/approval; ensure we are providing Engineers with the information needed to make product decisions. Review, assist and approve test plans with NPD Engineers and Lab Supervisor. Facilitate planning involved with standard and non-standard testing. Coach and mentor Technicians by strengthening technical skills and ability to effectively utilize test systems globally. The Test Engineer Is the primary resource for NPD Engineers and Technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product testing. Work with Test Labs Globally to harmonize test processes, strategy, and equipment. Support training and technology deployment globally. Support production Factory Acceptance Testing and service to identify production issues. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, or a related discipline. Advanced degree a plus. 3-5 years’ experience in a testing environment. Basic understanding of generators, large gaseous and diesel engines, electrical/electronic systems in consideration with current and future test system development. Familiarity wi
