Job OverviewThe ideal candidate will be able to maintain good customer relationships, assist with the opening and closing (locking) of outside buildings at the end of the day, and help with the pick-up and delivery of furniture to customers.Additional responsibilities will include arranging items in the pole barns to ensure they are attractive to customers and safe to navigate.Other duties may be assigned by the Manager(s).Responsibilities Maintain the Thrift Shop as a ministry of Conley's United Methodist Church as written in the Vision and Mission Statements.Adhere to the Thrift Shop General Policies, taking any situation or problems that are inconsistent with Thrift Shop operating procedures and policies to the Manager(s) for action.Maintain good customer relationships, referring any customer or volunteer problems that arise to the Manager(s).In the morning, unlock the outside buildings and prepare them for opening.At the end of the day, prepare the buildings for closing and then lock them.Receive donated items at the intake shed.Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager(s).Requirements Must be able to work closely with the public, volunteers, peers, supervisors, and others whose cooperation, coordination, and assistance may be needed.Ability to drive 40 foot box delivery truck.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Join us in making a difference in our community while enjoying a rewarding role as a Thrift Store Associate!
