Thrift Store Manager for a NonProfit Thrift Store Status:Non-Exempt Reports to:Director of Finance and Thrift Store Location:Mt Pleasant Thrift Store Key Responsibilities:to assist with the smooth operation of the Thrift Store by managing volunteers and paid staff as well as honoring gift certificates for clients.Make logical decisions in communications with staff.Work as a team Supervise staff and volunteers in their chores completion - issue verbal or written warnings as necessary Assist with any and all duties performed in the store.Communicate any problem with operations or staff that may require actions Learn and teach staff how to operate cash registers, credit/debit card machines, steamer and other equipment.Assure that company policies are being followed by all employed and volunteering at the store.Checkup register and deposit at local bank daily, make change orders Turn in sales information daily to financial office Organize daily sales information and bring to main office monthly Monitor time clock and cameras to ensure smooth operation.Build staff morale whenever possible and work with staff whenever possible as opposed to dictating all tasks.Collect volunteer time information and donation information and bring to main office weekly or at least monthly.Maintain log of community service volunteers and sign off on their hours for the courts.Once trained, staff scheduling each month with hours assigned depending upon performance.Must have computer knowledge, email, excel, and word Requirements:High School diploma and or work equivalent.Must be able to lift 40 pounds and stand on a concrete floor for hours during the day.You will gain knowledge of all aspects of operations of the store as well as the office and other programs, so there is a good understanding of the agency, its philosophy, and its position in the community.Job Type:Full-time Salary:$16.00 per hour Job Type:Full-time Pay:$16.00 per hour Benefits:Dental insurance Vision insurance Shift:8 hour shift Day shift Work Location:In person.
