Job DetailsJob Location: Administration Building - Longview, TX 75605Responsible for performing title suspense and processing functions in accordance with specific state regulations. Places liens on titles used as collateral for loans. Sends out-of-state titles to corresponding state offices for processing with Credit Union liens. Answers questions from both members and Credit Union personnel regarding title processing and regulations. Completes related reports and paperwork and maintains and updates files. Researches and resolves recordkeeping errors or discrepancies. Completes miscellaneous clerical functions and assists Records personnel as necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES 1. Assumes responsibility for the effective and timely performance of title suspense and support functions. a. Verifies Credit Union liens on titles used as loan collateral. b. Checks titles to ensure that members have recorded current Credit Union lien information and correct personal data. c. Releases titles to dealerships when loans are paid off. d. Receives member telephone calls regarding liens and titles. Sends titles to the DMV for name changes as requested. Researches and resolves problems, errors, or discrepancies. e. Adds titles to the Suspense File daily. Ensures that titles are processed when the suspense date expires. f. Retrieves and organizes documents, and maintains and updates files. g. Ensures that title functions are completed in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures. h. Performs other duties as assigned in the loan department. Assumes responsibility for maintaining professional working relations with members and business contacts. a. Obtains and conveys information as needed. b. Answers questions, resolves problems, and responds to requests for documents promptly and courteously. c. Maintains and projects the Credit Union's professional reputation. d. Maintains member confidentiality. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Credit Union personnel and with management. a. Assists branches and related departments as required. b. Supports and replaces Records personnel as needed. c. Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Provides suggestions for improved service delivery. d. Attends meetings as required. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. a. Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained. b. Completes special projects and miscellaneous clerical functions as required. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent. Additional business coursework helpful. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: General understanding of Credit Union loan and title processes. Knowledge of specific state title processing requirements and regulations. Knowledge of related computer applications EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One to two years of related office experience. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Well organized and attentive to detail. Strong communication and phone skills. Coordinates activities well with others. Able to use typewriter, PC, Imaging System, 10-key, telephone, and other basic business equipment.
