Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Toddler Teacher Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners in a dynamic classroom environment. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to support the development of toddlers through engaging activities, personalized care, and positive interactions. Your energy and compassion will contribute to creating a safe, stimulating space that promotes curiosity, social skills, and foundational learning for children in their critical early years. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans focused on early childhood development, literacy education, math concepts, and social-emotional skills. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment that encourages cooperation and respectful behavior among toddlers. Engage children in activities that promote fine and gross motor skills, language development, and early literacy through play-based learning. Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap time, and bathroom assistance while ensuring health and safety standards are met. Foster inclusive learning experiences by working effectively with children with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones. Assist in classroom organization, including preparing materials for lessons and keeping the learning environment clean and inviting. Experience Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles such as Montessori methods or other curriculum development approaches is a plus. Experience supporting children with diverse needs, including those requiring behavior management or special education accommodations. Familiarity with classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning atmosphere. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and team members. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in inclusive classrooms is advantageous. Certification or coursework in childhood development or early childhood education is desirable but not mandatory.
