Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Tow Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles that are disabled, illegally parked, or involved in accidents. Duties Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles efficiently and safely. Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring proper securing techniques to prevent damage during transit. Conduct basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery method or identify repair needs. Utilize automotive repair knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with tow trucks or vehicles being transported. Manage conflict situations professionally, providing excellent customer service while resolving disputes or concerns calmly and effectively. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including vehicle details, locations, and timeframes for record-keeping and reporting purposes. Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of equipment like forklifts when necessary, to ensure a secure work environment. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbed models, with a strong understanding of towing procedures. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, repairs, and manual transmissions. Ability to load and unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment and techniques. Familiarity with automotive repair processes and basic mechanic skills are highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations professionally.
