Assists in performing various jobs as they relate to construction, maintenance, and installation of traffic signals, sign and paint with in the Traffic Operations Department. (Seasonal Position during construction season.) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive. Performs the construction and installation of traffic signals/paint/sign equipment in public right of way. Performs the installation of work zone traffic control devices to provide a safe work area when working in the public right of way. Duties may require manual tasks using shovels, picks, rakes, and other tools and equipment as required to perform assigned construction and maintenance. Operates vehicles to transport people, tools and material to and from various job sites. Performs other related duties, sign replacement, stencil painting, red curb painting, and other duties as assigned. Will receive instruction and can perform work without direct supervision.
