Job Description
Job Title: Training Coordinator Pay Rate: $29/hr Shift: 1st Shift – 7:00am to 4:30pm Position Overview As a Training Coordinator, you will play a key role in building a culture of continuous improvement by coordinating and delivering high-quality skills development programs. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from various backgrounds and departments to support professional development initiatives that drive operational excellence and empower employees. Key Responsibilities Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders, supervisors, and trainers to successfully implement, sustain, and enhance training programs. Facilitate “Train the Trainer” activities, providing hands-on support to production line trainers by teaching effective training and job instruction techniques—including task breakdown, competency training, training matrix management, and execution of training plans. Evaluate training processes and recommend improvements for increased efficiency and effectiveness. Integrate best practices from Training Within Industry (TWI) & Job Instruction (JI) to drive continuous improvement across training systems. Support the creation, delivery, and maintenance of skills development programs for both direct and indirect labor, as well as front-line leader capabilities. Design and deliver engaging learning activities, training materials, instructor guides, and lesson plans aligned with strategic objectives. Review and analyze training program evaluations and outcomes, assessing effectiveness and measuring impact on employee performance. Identify learning needs for complex or high-risk operations, simplifying and communicating processes effectively for all levels. Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience training individuals and trainers in production environments with regulatory requirements such as medical devices or comparable industries. Less experience is acceptable with formal education in TWI, JI, adult learning, or instructional design. Demonstrated proficiency in training methods and processes, with hands-on experience and documented records of completion. Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite and enterprise systems such as SAP. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Ability to recognize a variety of processes and operations and distill complex tasks into easy-to-understand steps. Experience working in environments practicing lean manufacturing principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly with technical and manufacturing terminology. Proven experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams within manufacturing or engineering settings.
