Verified Employee Review, Indianapolis Team The Role We are looking for a dependable, safety-conscious Transfer Operator to join our Indianapolis operations.You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of materials (loading/unloading) from railcars to trucks and storage.This is a hands-on, outdoor role perfect for someone who enjoys active work and avoiding the warehouse grind. Key Responsibilities Safe Operations:Operate pumps, valves, and manifold systems to facilitate the transfer of products.Inspections:Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of railcars and equipment to ensure everything is in top working order.Documentation:Maintain accurate logs of material transfers and safety checklists.Teamwork:Coordinate with rail crews and truck drivers to ensure timely departures.What You Bring to the Table Reliability:You show up ready to work and value being part of a dependable team.Physical Ability:Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and able to climb ladders/operate heavy valves.Safety Mindset:A Safety First attitude is non-negotiable here.Experience:Prior experience in industrial, construction, or military backgrounds is a plus (we value our Veterans!).Why Join Road & Rail?
