In this role, you’ll work to provide funding and support to the state’s public transportation providers. As part of our Program Services Unit, you will help secure federal funding, award subgrants, reconcile budgets, assist with compliance reviews, communicate with program partners and maintain our grants management system to ensure it’s functional and accurate. If you are a current State of Oregon employee, you must apply through your employee Workday profile . A day in the life: Develop funding programs to manage state or federal grant funds. Apply for federal grant funding in support of transit programs. Help transit providers find and use the right funding to further state and community goals. Make sure project information is accurate in tracking systems. Prepare and manage contracts and agreements for transit grants. Ensure grant recipients follow all state and federal rules. Track project progress and suggest improvements. Reconcile budgets, analyze financial reports and monitor risk. Keep policies, procedures and program documents updated and accurate. Collect and analyze grant data to make decisions and improve programs. Hybrid work options available! Requires working in the Salem office at least eight days per year. Work is performed in an office environment and may require working long hours to meet deadlines. Minimum qualifications: Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification related to grants administration and management. OR A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years experience coordinating or administering a program related to grants administration and management .
