Overview Join our dynamic transportation team as a Transit Bus Driver for weddings and wine tours and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and friendly transit services to the community. In this energetic role, you will operate various types of buses—including transit buses, and 24 passenger wine tour vehicles—ensuring passengers reach their destinations comfortably and on time. Your expertise in driving, customer service, and vehicle maintenance will help create a positive travel experience for all riders. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while making a meaningful impact every day. Most shifts are Thursday nights and weekends. Duties Safely operate transit buses, including transit coaches, shuttle vehicles, following all traffic laws and safety protocols Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, alighting, and answering questions about routes and schedules for weddings and wine tours. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical readiness; perform basic maintenance checks regularly Maintain accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and any incidents or delays during shifts Communicate clearly with dispatchers and passengers using effective communication skills to relay important information or address concerns Follow all safety procedures related to driving, vehicle maintenance, and passenger interactions to ensure a secure environment Assist with delivery or shuttle driving as needed for special events or specific service routes Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with air brake and passenger endorsements for bus or motor coach operation; experience in bus driving preferred Strong mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform routine maintenance checks Proven experience in driving different types of vehicles such as school buses, shuttle vans, or limousine services is highly desirable Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with passengers and team members Prior experience in customer service roles or delivery driving enhances your ability to serve riders effectively Knowledge of paratransit operations or motor coach services is a plus Ability to handle various driving conditions safely while maintaining professionalism and punctuality Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise makes a difference!
