Transit Scheduling Planner

JOB Responsible for developing bus route schedules and creating work that meets the requirements of the Labor Management Agreement (LMA) for bus operators for Palm Tran. Work involves developing service scenarios for new or modified services. This position works with independent judgment in the field within the framework of established policies and regulations. Work is reviewed by designated superiors for completeness and quality. Work is performed within the established rules set forth by Palm Tran, federal, state, and local authorities, and conducted with the utmost regard for the safety of the passengers, the public, and all equipment. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, transportation and logistics, or a related field, plus three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in planning or transit operations.Equivalency: Associate’s degree in a related field and five (5) years of experience as listed above.High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of experience as listed above.Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
