LEOMINSTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS SKYVIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR TRANSITION SPECIALIST / ISS ACADEMIC TUTOR The Transition Specialist / ISS Academic Tutor provides support to students returning after an extended absence and/or facing disciplinary consequences that warrant an In-School Suspension. This role will support students' academic, social, and emotional well-being to help them rejoin a full academic schedule. The position also serves as a liaison among a variety of stakeholders both inside and outside of the school setting, requiring strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and relationship-building skills to effectively coordinate supports and ensure student success. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; experience in school counseling or student services is preferred Experience in working with middle-level students, supporting them both academically and emotionally Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with administration, teachers, guidance counselors, students, and families Strong organization - tracking of student attendance and assignments Salary commensurate with related experience.
