In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently transferring cargo between different modes of transportation, ensuring smooth and safe transloading and unloading processes.Your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to operate heavy equipment will drive our success.This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with in a safety culture while contributing to the companies and customer goals.Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other transloading equipment to load product safely and accurately.Load and unload shipments from trucks, railcars, or containers following established safety procedures.Conduct routine inspections of equipment and railcars to identify any safety issues or defects.Coordinate with drivers, terminal staff, and supervisors to ensure timely transfer of products.Maintain detailed logs of transloading, equipment usage, and safety checks.Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to operational guidelines.Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues with equipment to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.Requirements Prior military experience is highly valued for its discipline, teamwork, and operational skills.Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs or identify maintenance needs on equipment.Ability to work in physically demanding environments requiring standing, lifting, and stooping under railcars for extended periods.Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.A commitment to safety standards and procedures at all times.This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in a fast-moving environment while ensuring the safe handling of goods.If you thrive on active work and enjoy operating heavy machinery responsibly, we want to hear from you!
