In the role of Transportation Construction Inspector B, we'll count on you to: Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, transit, rail, and environmental projects. Collaborate with other Inspectors, Construction Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers. Read and interpret construction plans, shop drawings, specifications and contract documents, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents. Track and maintain project materials documentation. Perform routine material testing on concrete, soils, and other materials as necessary. Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed. Provide oversight to ensure quality control tasks are monitored and documented for contract compliance. Work outside during inclement weather conditions. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Technical school, associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management. Valid Driver's license and clean motor vehicle report.
