Job Purpose As an industry leader in Bonita Springs, Herc Rentals is seeking a Travel and Events Coordinator to join the Shared Services team. The position is responsible for assisting in the strategic management of travel and expense strategies, sourcing activities, and ensuring programs are communicated and monitored to meet company objectives. This role will focus primarily on corporate travel but will also support team members working directly in events and card management. Categories in corporate travel include but are not limited to agency, air, ground transportation, hotel, and reporting. What you will do... Negotiate contracts for scheduled meetings and events. Monitor and manage category spend using reporting tools. Provide administrative support for all card programs, including P-card, T&E, and Fuel cards. Oversee supplier management, including ongoing performance evaluation to ensure service quality, contract compliance, and adherence to SLAs. Conduct internal and external cost benchmarking against industry and competitive standards. Demonstrate strategic thinking with strong project management, facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships and navigate complex business environments. Proactively identify internal customer needs and deliver effective solutions to complex challenges. Requirements Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with travel and event management platforms, such as Concur, Cvent, etc. A background in hospitality or customer service is preferred. Demonstrate ability to perform under tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. This position requires a ‘customer first’ mindset, strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to effectively balance several projects at once. In addition, the role requires high levels of adaptability and time management. Experience or knowledge with SAP Concur or similar booking websites is preferred but not required. Skills Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Proven customer service expertise. Effective multitasking in fast-paced, high-volume environments. Assisting finance teams in tracking T&E budgets and providing forecasts based on historical data. Experience streamlining workflows and automating manual processes to improve accuracy and efficiency. Ability to review expenses for policy violations and conduct audits for fraud or misuse. Experience with SAP Concur preferred but not required.
