Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Location: Albuquerque, NM Agency: Bluebix Health Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Position Summary: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality therapeutic services. This role focuses on helping patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans Provide hands-on therapy to improve patients’ mobility, coordination, and daily living skills Monitor and document patient progress and report updates to the supervising OT Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and home exercise programs Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with facility policies Ensure a safe and clean therapy environment Assist with adaptive equipment training and usage Requirements Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active COTA license in the state of practice Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred or required depending on facility) Minimum 1 year of clinical or rehab experience (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist Knowledge of therapy techniques, patient care, and safety protocols Ability to document patient progress accurately and timely Must be reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Benefits Competitive pay rates Weekly pay options Health, dental, and vision insurance Travel stipends (if applicable) Referral bonuses Flexible scheduling
