Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Location: Eatontown, NJ Agency: Bluebix Health Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 14 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). The COTA helps patients improve their ability to perform daily living and work activities, supporting rehabilitation, recovery, and independence across various care settings. Key Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Monitor, document, and report patient progress to the supervising OT Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques Utilize adaptive equipment and therapeutic modalities as directed Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation Ensure patient safety and maintain a clean therapy environment Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, PT, and speech therapy Follow all state, federal, and facility regulations and infection control policies Requirements Required Qualifications Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Active COTA license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Occupational Therapy Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
