Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Location: San Jose, CA Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 7 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Job Category: Medical / Health Therapy Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Associate Guaranteed Hours Full-time (standard schedule) Estimated Pay Rate: $74,609 $98,508 annually Shift Details Shift Time: Day Shift Start Time: 8.00am End Time: 4.30pm Job Overview We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitative care within an interdisciplinary care model. This role works under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to implement treatment plans and support patients in achieving independence with daily living activities. The position offers a collaborative environment focused on long-term patient outcomes, continuity of care, and balanced workloads, allowing for meaningful patient engagement and effective care delivery. Key Responsibilities Administer occupational therapy treatment programs as directed by the Occupational Therapist Assist in collecting patient data including vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing Implement individualized care plans to support patient rehabilitation goals Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver holistic patient care Document therapy interventions and patient progress accurately Support scheduling of therapy sessions and clinical activities Utilize therapeutic techniques to improve cognitive, motor, and functional abilities Promote patient independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) Maintain compliance with clinical standards and regulatory guidelines Provide updates to clinical team regarding patient condition and progress Job Requirements Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution Active Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license in the state of California or proof of eligibility Minimum of two (2) years of OTA experience in a clinical setting Experience working with frail or elderly patient populations preferred
