Overview Clinical Dietitian – Clinical Nutrition travel assignment in Fortuna, California. Start date: 06/01/2026. Duration: weeks. Shift: 5x8 Days. Weekly pay: $1,726-$1,802 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. Setting: hospital environment with cross-site responsibilities. This first-time traveler role includes a 40-hour orientation at Eureka (with tours of both Eureka and Redwood facilities) and ongoing travel between affiliate sites roughly 20 miles apart. Special requirement: training in food safety audits will be provided. Weekend coverage is not required at this time. RTO restrictions: no more than 7 days. Licenses and credentials: California license in hand; RD or RDN certification; BLS required. Experience: minimum 2 years. Epic charting experience required. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,726-$1,802 per week Shift: 5x8 Days Start date: 06/01/2026 Location: Fortuna, CA Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment Orientation: 40 hours at Eureka with tours of Eureka and Redwood Floating between sites: travel up to ~20 miles between affiliate locations No weekend shifts currently planned Responsibilities Perform nutrition assessments and reassessments, including Nutrition-Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) Manage enteral feeding and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) orders; monitor tolerance and complications Address malnutrition, refeeding syndrome, and diabetes management (including insulin and DKA care) Provide nutrition support for wound/surgical patients and complex GI conditions (e.g., short gut, ostomy) Deliver patient-centered care across age groups: neonatal through geriatrics; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team Participate in food safety audits and apply training findings; document results Document all care in Epic with accurate, timely charting and coding Requirements Active California RD/RDN license in hand BLS certification Minimum 2 years of clinical nutrition experience Proficient in Epic charting (required) Experience with enteral nutrition and TPN; knowledge of malnutrition management Ability to travel between affiliate sites (~20 miles) and float as needed Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Orientation and site onboarding (40 hours) with cross-site exposure Epic charting training and ongoing documentation support Credentialing and compliance guidance throughout the assignment Dedicated assignment support from start to finish Find more opportunities Find more opportunities at Healthforce Healthcare LLC by visiting https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply PAY DISCLAIMER RULE Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
