CT Tech Location: Sitka, AK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: 6/1/2026 About the Position Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: Full Time Shift: Varies Hours per Shift: Not specified Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current ARRT in Radiography Certifications: Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years Must-Have: - Ability to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality. - Knowledge of growth and development principles across ages. - Competency in additional imaging modalities as needed. Description: The Radiologic Technologist must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. The individual must assess data reflective of patient status and interpret information needed to identify each patient’s needs. The technologist must provide care following departmental policies and procedures. Essential functions include providing radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. Professional judgment is required in performing procedures while applying principles of radiation protection. The role requires maintaining patient records and files and assuming responsibility for departmental quality assurance programs. Continuing education is encouraged and supported. The technologist must assist in transferring patients to and from radiology. If a supervisor is absent, the technologist will assume departmental responsibilities. Shifts may rotate as required. Essential duties also include maintaining hygiene standards within the department. The ability to work well under stress is necessary. The technologist must be willing to take call and arrive at work within 20 minutes. Willingness to learn other imaging modalities as requested is important. Competency in two imaging fields is required, and the technologist may be needed to work outside of their primary modality. Responsibilities include care of equipment and record maintenance in the CT and interventional areas. The role includes assisting with invasive procedures and consulting with referring physicians. Standard precautions must be followed. Routine protocols may need alteration to provide quality care to various age groups. Familiarity with contrast levels and contraindications is required. Competence in tele-radiology transmission and sterile techniques is expected. The technologist will assist with supply inventory and ordering. Daily and weekly quality control tasks are part of the responsibilities. Attendance at department meetings and in-service training is required.
