As a CT Technologist, you will perform a variety of diagnostic CT imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. You will operate CT scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for medical interpretation by radiologists. Why Join Seven Healthcare? Secure and verify patient information and medical history, explaining the procedure and addressing any patient concerns or questions. Operate CT scanners and associated equipment, including power injectors and imaging workstations, to capture high-resolution images. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging protocols for optimal diagnostic outcomes. Ensure accuracy and quality control of CT images, identifying any artifacts or technical issues and taking corrective action as necessary. Evaluate scan results and determine if additional images are necessary, consulting with radiologists as needed for timely and accurate diagnosis. Maintain detailed records of each procedure, including patient information, imaging parameters, and any adverse reactions or incidents. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including sterilization and sanitation procedures for equipment and examination rooms. Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices in CT imaging techniques. Schedule Details: Night Shift: 8-hour shift 4pm to 12am Full-time, permanent placement. Qualifications The CAT Scan Technologist must be a graduate of an allied health education and accredited radiography school or hospital-based program. NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required. ARRT registered (RT) and radiograph (R) and or (CT) certified and / or NMTCB registered (CNMT), and documented training and experience in operating CT equipment and radiation physics and protection. Passing advanced CT examination /certification within 1 year from date of hire. Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies. Current standards are 24 ECE credits over a two-year period depending on year of birth. DOH IV certification preferred or by completion of 6-month orientation. BLS certification through the (AHA) American Heart Association is required or must be completed with 90 days of hire. Radiation dose pledge for both Image Gently and Image Wisely through the American College of Radiology (ACR) will be performed during the orientation process and before end of probationary period.
