Details - Acute care hospital radiology department, CT scanning unit with 3 CT rooms (CT 1, 2, and 3) Patient population includes emergency, trauma, and scheduled radiology cases Performs contrast-enhanced CT studies including Code Grey, Trauma, and Partial Trauma cases requiring immediate imaging turnaround Uses PACS/RIS system for image acquisition, processing, and verification Epic EMR for charting 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM On-call is required Floating to a sister hospital nearby may be required as needed Requirements - ARRT RT(R) and ARRT RT(CT) certifications required Active NJ State X-Ray License (NJDEP) required — license required if applicable Current BLS certification required Completion of an accredited Radiographer or College-based Radiography program required High school diploma or GED required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position 2 references required for consideration Additional Information - Responsibilities include performing CT imaging procedures, triaging and coordinating emergency and unscheduled procedure requests, and maintaining efficient workflow within the department Assesses patients for contrast tolerance, screens for allergies and medication incompatibilities, and monitors patient condition before and after contrast administration Serves in a Point Staff role when assigned, coordinating patient transport, staff assignments, and communications across departments Maintains and stocks CT supplies, contrast media, and biopsy/drainage materials; participates in daily inventory Performs routine cleaning of the CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use and maintains QA/QC requirements per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications Adheres to venipuncture and power injector protocols Notifies the radiologist of Code Grey image transmissions and any unusual findings Candidates must be able to live within the travel assignment requirements; no local candidates accepted (50-mile radius rule applies) American Traveler Job ID #P-701954.
