Job Description
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Travel Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality resident care at skilled nursing and long-term care facilities across the United States. As a travel RN with Fusion Medical Staffing, you will take on a series of short- to long-term assignments, typically 8–13 weeks or more in length, in a variety of long term care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing environments. You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and treatments, monitor changes in condition, update care plans, and provide education and emotional support to residents and their families. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, CNAs, and social workers to ensure safe, person-centered care focused on dignity, comfort, and quality of life. Daily responsibilities include managing a resident caseload, completing accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records, supervising and delegating tasks to licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants, and following all facility policies, infection control standards, and state and federal regulations. You may also participate in care conferences, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives at each facility. Because this is a travel role, you must be comfortable quickly adapting to new facilities, workflows, and teams, and be willing to float within your scope as needed. Fusion Medical Staffing specializes in providing well-matched medical staffing solutions, and you will be supported by a dedicated recruiter and clinical team to help you navigate new assignments, housing options, and licensure needs. Fusion Medical Staffing values transparency, accountability, and teamwork, fostering a supportive and positive environment where you are encouraged to grow, share feedback, and contribute to better healthcare outcomes. Working in this role offers opportunities to expand your clinical skills, experience diverse care settings and locations, and build a strong professional network, all while positively impacting residents and their families across the country. This position is ideal for an experienced RN who is passionate about geriatric and long term care, enjoys travel and variety, and is committed to delivering consistent, high-quality, compassionate care wherever they go.
