Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality breast imaging services at healthcare facilities across the United States. As a traveling technologist, you will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while operating advanced mammography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that support early detection and treatment of breast disease. You will adapt quickly to new clinical environments, workflows, and teams, using your technical expertise and strong communication skills to integrate seamlessly into each facility you support. In this role, you will perform screening and diagnostic mammograms in accordance with ACR, MQSA, and facility protocols, verifying patient identity, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the exam. You will position patients accurately, operate digital mammography and, where applicable, tomosynthesis equipment, and ensure optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure. You will follow strict quality control and quality assurance procedures, perform equipment warm-up and basic checks, and promptly report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the clinical team to support timely and accurate diagnosis, follow facility workflows for image processing and transmission, and assist with additional views or specialized imaging when requested. You will maintain accurate and complete documentation in the electronic health record and imaging systems, adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards, and protect patient confidentiality at all times. As a traveler, you will be responsible for complying with licensing, credentialing, and facility-specific onboarding requirements for each assignment, often working in varied clinical settings including hospitals, imaging centers, and outpatient clinics.
