Job Description
Medical Assistant Location: Frisco, TX Agency: Pride Health Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s healthcare facility in Frisco, TX (75034). This is a 3+ month contract-to-hire opportunity with strong long-term potential. Job Summary: The Medical Assistant will provide clinical support under the supervision of a provider, assisting with patient care, maintaining clinic workflow, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Key Responsibilities: Room patients and prepare them for examination Record vital signs, medical history, and patient information Assist providers with exams and procedures Perform EKGs, specimen collection, and venipuncture Administer non-IV medications as directed Change dressings, remove sutures/staples, and obtain cultures Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms Sterilize instruments and perform equipment checks Follow HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols Handle basic patient intake, calls, and administrative support Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Certified Medical Assistant (must be current or obtained within 180 days) BLS certification (AHA) required within 30 days of hire 1–2+ years of Medical Assistant experience Bilingual in Spanish (required) Knowledge of medical terminology Basic computer skills (Excel required) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to handle emergency situations calmly Additional Information: Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (must be available by 7:45 AM) Location: Frisco, TX 75034 Duration: 3+ Month Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: $21 – $23/hr (based on experience) Travel: No travel required Dress Code: Matching scrubs (any color) Interview Process: In-person Equal Employment Opportunity Pride-Health is an equal opportunity employer.
