Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job details: Position: Medical Office Assistant (Women & Children Dept) $$SN$$ Location: Norwalk, Connecticut Shift: Days – 5x8s (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) Duration: 13 weeks Job Duties Perform patient intake, including vital signs (manual blood pressure, EKGs) and documentation. Prepare and maintain clean, stocked examination rooms for patient visits. Escort patients from waiting area to clinical spaces and assist during visits. Update and transcribe patient records accurately in the system. Provide clerical and secretarial support related to patient care. Conduct in-office testing and coordinate external diagnostic services. Collect, prepare, and process specimens as directed by providers. Support perinatology office workflow and perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED required Graduate of Medical Assistant program OR Nursing Assistant training OR EMT certification OR 3 years relevant medical office experience Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical setting Basic medical terminology knowledge required Skilled in data entry and obtaining accurate patient vital signs Certified Medical Assistant (preferred) 2–3 years of experience (preferred) Phlebotomy skills (preferred) Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
