Exciting Opportunity for Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) Job Description: - Join a dynamic team as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) with a focus on patient-centered care. - Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00). - Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4.5; Nights: 1:4.5; Weekends: 1:4.5. - Travel Experience: No previous travel experience required. - Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role. - Patient Care: Experience caring for adults and geriatric patients in a 27-bed unit. - Charting System: Experience with Epic is required; applicants must be familiar with Epic Hardstop. - Certifications: Preferred certifications include ACLS and BLS. - Skills: - Gastrointestinal procedures including: - Bariatric surgery* - Bowel obstruction - Colostomy/ileostomy management/care - Feeding tube care and management - Respiratory Management: - BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance - Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Oral suctioning and oxygen administration - Tracheostomy care/management* - IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: - Blood product administration - Central line blood draw - Peripheral line care/management - PICC line management - Medication administration including insulin and PCA*. - Work Settings: Med/Surg, MS/Tele*, Short Stay Unit, Orthopedics, and more. - Float Required: Yes; position may require floating between units. - Weekend Coverage: Required every other weekend (6 shifts in a 6-week period). - Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 request approved.
