Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 5x8hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Jun 8, 2026 Length: 12 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) with ARDMS certification to work in a pediatric cardiac unit managing congenital and acquired heart disease across a rotating day and night shift schedule. Details Pediatric cardiac sonography unit within an academic medical center Patient population ranges from neonates to adults, with diagnoses including congenital and acquired pediatric cardiac disease Approximately 8 visits per day across 3 rooms Rotating schedule of 5x8-hour shifts, covering day shifts (8:00–16:30) and night shifts (16:30–8:30) Weekends are not required On-call required approximately once every 8 weeks Floating required within the specialty, to other units, and to sister facilities within clinical scope Holiday coverage required as scheduled 12-week contract, 40 hours per week Requirements ARDMS certification required, including RDCS (AE) and RDCS (PE) credentials Current BLS required License required if applicable Experience with neonatal through adult patient populations Experience with congenital and acquired pediatric cardiac disease Additional Information Perform cardiac sonography on pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart conditions Scrubs are provided for OR cases; any pediatric-appropriate scrubs are acceptable for non-OR settings Any time-off requests should be disclosed upfront for consideration American Traveler Job ID #P-705947.
