Details Day shift schedule: 06:30–15:00 Surgical and Recovery Services unit within a hospital setting Perioperative patient population spanning neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults On-call availability is required Epic EMR experience required 13-week contract Requirements Active CA RN license required Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) Current ACLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) Current PALS certification (AHA or Red Cross) Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP) — can be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or the free CDC NIOSH resource Minimum 1 year of perioperative (OR) experience CNOR certification preferred BSN preferred Pre/Post Op experience preferred DOB and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the full nursing process in the peri-operative setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Coordinates patient care in collaboration with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, and directs OR technicians and support personnel Reports directly to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services Participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services Works cross-departmentally to ensure quality patient care, efficient patient flow, and unit organization Local candidates are accepted for this position American Traveler Job ID #P-702638.
