Job Description The Physical Therapist restores patient function, alleviates pain, and prevents disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy. This role delivers high-quality, patient-centered care to help individuals achieve their optimal level of mobility, independence, and quality of life. Responsibilities Assess and interpret evaluation results to develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans in collaboration with physicians. Administer manual exercises, therapeutic activities, and functional training. Instruct, encourage, and assist patients with non-manual exercises and daily living skills. Provide hands-on treatments including massage, traction, physical agents, hydrotherapy, and ultrasound. Evaluate treatment effectiveness and recommend modifications to optimize results. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning and continuity of care. Maintain accurate documentation in patient and department records. Ensure a safe clinical environment by following infection control protocols. Stay current with advancements in physical therapy through professional development activities. Contribute to a positive team environment and interdisciplinary patient care conferences. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program. Current, valid Physical Therapist license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
