Our client a community acute care hospital in northern New Mexico is seeking a Physical Therapist to work primarily in orthopaedics across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role offers true work-life balance: a structured Monday Friday schedule with only occasional Saturday coverage, no night shifts, and no on-call requirements. The team operates with significant clinical autonomy and makes decisions collaboratively. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for candidates committing to a 24-month full-time contract. Key Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments to evaluate functional status and clinical needs Establish individualized care plans aligned with patient capabilities, goals, and desires Plan, prepare, and carry out programmes of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent dysfunction Deliver therapy interventions using standard PT techniques appropriate to the age and condition of each patient Administer physical agents including moist packs, ultrasound, ultraviolet and infrared therapy Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices; recommend modifications as required Direct and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support staff; assess competence and delegate appropriately Document goals, anticipated progress, and reevaluation plans accurately in the medical record Requirements Must-Have Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licence (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field required BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire Preferred Master's degree in Physical Therapy preferred Orthopaedic or acute care clinical experience Willingness to relocate to Los Alamos, NM Compensation Base salary: $91,000 $118,000 per annum (based on experience) Selection Process Stage 1: Submit resume and candidate information to HR Stage 2: Pre-screening call with HR Stage 3: Resume forwarded to Hiring Manager Our client is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to compliance with all applicable OFCCP and EEOC regulations.
